33RO20120721 - salinity
Slightly fresher water than reference cruise has been measured - hard to tell if
it's a real bias and if there's enough evidence for a rather small (roughly
0.01) adjustment. -888?

Either -888 or pass. As the weighted mean is within the range as are all 4 crs
(one offset is 4.01 but that can be considered within the range) - Maintain
wihtout strong evidence.

33RO20120721 - phosphate
Crossovers still indicate too high data, but clearly the spread is extreme. At
least 5% downward as suggest previously, but 8% - 10% actually seems more
reasonable.

33RO20120721 - ph
Maybe slightly low but within range especially given the location. Maintain.

33RO20120721 - ph
Only one crs - showing an offset of -0.005, thus clearly within the range. The
carbon interconsistency check shows a stronger negative offset of -0.01. However
the other two carbon parameters could not be evaluated doubt-free. Not enough
for a 2nd QC.

33RO20120721 - phosphate
All crs indicate too high concentrations. Note that recent crs exist and that
the offset reduces with depth for some of the crs… Adjustment also improves
Redfield ratio. Adjust according to weighted mean.

33RO20120721 - nitrate
More recently uploaded nutrient data differs from previous one. Nitrate
concentrations are lower as is also reflected in the crossovers. Adjust by at
least 2% upward.

33RO20120721 - silicate
More recent data fits better with other cruises. Nonetheless large variability
and uncertainty present. Also CANYON_B shows a very strong offset...Pass
anyway??

Extreme variability and uncertainties… Good matches exist (e.g. 33RO2007)
though. Further MLR analyses (based on only 14 samples) agree upon each other
and indicate roughly 10% too low data. To many uncertainties for such a large
adjustment: -888.
